What this is, what it isn't, and how we keep it safe.
What it is
A free, web-based creative play space for children aged 5 to 10. Kids build a home, create household members and pets, decorate rooms, and act out calm everyday stories.
Think of it as a digital dollhouse. There is no winning, no losing, no time pressure, no scores, no streaks.
What it isn't
- Not a social network. No chat, no comments, no public profiles, no messaging. Your child cannot be contacted by strangers here.
- Not ad-supported. There are no advertisements of any kind, and there never will be.
- Not a free-to-play game. No loot boxes, no microtransactions, no pay-to-progress mechanics, no in-app purchases shown to children.
- Not a public gallery. Nothing your child creates is shared online. All creations stay on this device.
Safety & Privacy
- No account needed. No sign-up, no login. Just open the page and play.
- No personal data collected. We do not ask for or store real names, ages, emails, photos, addresses, school, or contact information.
- Saves stay on this device. Your child's creations are saved in this browser only. Nothing your child makes is uploaded to any server.
- Curated asset library. All furniture, characters, and pets are pre-approved for age-appropriateness.
- Restricted text input. Character and pet name fields only accept letters, spaces, hyphens, and apostrophes. No numbers, symbols, or scripts.
- No external links. Your child cannot accidentally leave the playground or click into the wider internet.
- Privacy-friendly analytics. We count anonymous page visits to understand how the site is used (how many visitors, which country, tablet vs computer). We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies, stores no IP addresses, and does no individual or cross-site tracking. We cannot see who any visitor is or what they made.
About this project
My Mochi House is built by a small independent team. The core experience is free forever and will remain so.
We are planning an optional Parent Supporter tier in the future — for parents who want to support the project with a small monthly contribution. Supporters will get extras like cloud save across devices and seasonal asset packs.
There will never be any pressure on children to spend money, and the core playground will never be gated behind a paywall.
